Registration is now open for the Spring 2026 session of the Congolese Youth Leadership Academy (CYLA)! This 10-week program is designed for Congolese-American youth ages 14-21 who want to develop leadership skills, explore their cultural identity, and prepare for academic and career success.
Program Includes
- Weekly leadership workshops and guest speakers
- SAT/ACT preparation sessions
- College application and essay writing support
- Cultural identity exploration and heritage projects
- Community service projects
- Mentorship pairing with Congolese professionals
- Final presentation and certificate ceremony
The program meets every Saturday from 10 AM to 1 PM. Transportation assistance available for Brooklyn Park and Brooklyn Center residents.
