Starting in April 2026, the Congolese Community of Minnesota will offer free citizenship preparation classes for community members pursuing U.S. naturalization.
The 12-week course covers all 100 civics questions, English language practice for the reading, writing, and speaking portions of the naturalization test, and guidance on the N-400 application process. Classes will be taught in a supportive, bilingual environment (English/French) by trained volunteer instructors.
Classes meet every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at the CongoMN Community Center. Childcare is available during class sessions.
To register or learn more, contact us at info@congomn.org or call (612) 888-0247.
This program is made possible through a partnership with the Minnesota Literacy Council and Catholic Charities of St. Paul and Minneapolis.
